Voice Your Priorities: Join Tucson's Budget Town Halls & Survey Before March 31
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming City of Tucson Budget Town Halls!
The budget reflects our shared priorities as Tucsonans. We are facing financial challenges in the coming years due to the sunsetting of federal funds and significant reductions in state-shared revenue from the State of Arizona.
Now is the time to make your priorities known and ensure your voice is heard.
Ward 4 folks, please take a few moments to participate in the budget survey (link below) BEFORE MARCH 31. There is a good chance that you won't see your priorities listed in the choices, so I ask that you please use the "What priorities or ideas have we missed? What else would you like to share about how you would like the City to invest taxpayer dollars?" box to write in your priorities and thoughts.
The town halls will include a short presentation from staff, who will answer your questions, while the survey attempts to capture input on your priorities for spending in our community. There will be a virtual budget meeting Tuesday, March 26, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. In-person meetings will be held Wednesday, April 3, from 6-7 p.m., at El Rio Center, 1390 W. Speedway Blvd., and Thursday, April 4, from 6-7 p.m., at the Ward 2 Office, 7820 E. Broadway Blvd.
