Proposed Homeless Camps or Shelters.

The Board of Directors and our Management Company (GNC) are aware of a recent Facebook post regarding proposed homeless shelters near the community and would like to provide some clarification.
The City of Tucson Planning Department recently held a meeting regarding a proposed zoning code amendment related to housing, homelessness, emergency shelters, and shelter care. During the meeting, several vacant sites in and around the community were identified as locations that currently meet certain zoning criteria.
The HOA contacted Ward 4 to obtain additional clarification. Ward 4 advised that the sites identified at the meeting were only identified as potentially meeting the current zoning conditions. At this time, these sites are not being proposed for homeless camps or shelters. Ward 4 also recommended that residents review the City's information regarding the proposed zoning amendment and participate in the City's community survey.
