All day to day activities have been addressed and the transition progress is very successful. Our Property Manager, Jose Mireles, is doing a fabulous job keeping the Board appraised of his activities and performing above and beyond our expectations.
Our property maintenance company, Land-Tamers is doing an excellent job maintain our association common areas. Our Board Vice President Mike Gauvin has been working tirelessly with Land-Tamers insuring our trees are not infringing on association members private property and overseeing regular schedule services of our common areas.
If any of our members have any concerns, please contact us through the Sonoran Desert Willow web site. www.sonorandesertwillow.com
Our next schedule Board Meeting is our annual meeting on MARCH 20, 2025, 6:30 PM at Mica Mountain High School in the administrative building, the Career room.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REVIEW THE ANNUAL MEETING PACKAGE SENT TO YOU THIS WEEK BY GNC PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND VOTE TO APPROVE THE STATE OF ARIZONA MANDATED PARKING VOTE ALONG WITH SUBMITTING YOUR VOTE FOR THE TWO VACANT BOARD POSITIONS.
PET WAIST:
Our neighborhood is fortunate to have many common areas and walkways that allow our members to walk their dogs. We have had several observed instances where our neighbors do not collect and dispose of animal waste.
The association has provided several pet waist disposal can and bags to collect the wait. Please help keeping our common area in great condition by picking up after your pets.
It is costly enough to maintain our common areas in great condition to add the additional cost of collection of pet waist. Let’s be respectful of all of our neighbors.
TOWN HALL MEETING:
The following notice of a meeting on Tuesday, February 11th, to discuss the City of Tucson's latest proposition 414 to increase the City's Sales Tax was taken from an email from Ward 2 (Councilman Cunningham) dated January 31, 2025. Ballots will be mailed out to voters on February 12.
Quote:
Proposition 414 Town Hall: City of Tucson voters will be asked on Tuesday, March 11, to consider a new, temporary half-cent sales tax for the next 10 years to fund a safer and more vibrant Tucson. If Proposition 414 is approved, the City’s sales tax rate would increase to 3.1% and generate a projected $800 million over those 10 years. The revenue the half-cent sales tax would generate over that period would be split into five distinct categories, with 65.75% of the funding allocated to public safety investments and 34.25% allocated to community resiliency investments. There will be a town hall on the proposition in Ward 2 at Udall Park Recreation Center (7200 E Tanque Verde) on February 12 from 5:30 - 7:30. Unquote
